The iconic snack you know and love from America's #1 Selling Peanut Brand has a new, improved look and utilizes less plastic! The makers of the PLANTERS^® snack nut brand are introducing peanut-shaped, flavor-forward packaging for PLANTERS^® Dry Roasted Peanuts, now on shelves nationwide.

While the packaging is definitely novel, the items in the line-up consist of current seasonal items, as well as the returning McPepper.

If you've forgotten what the burger was like, you can look forward to double beef patties dipped sweet and spicy black pepper sauce, finished off with sautéed onions between soft buns.

There seems to be a slight difference from when it first launched in Sep. 2021, however—the latest description lists one of the ingredients as "sautéed onions", but if we remember correctly, the previous iteration used raw onions instead.

The employee-owned business utilised its team of in-house experts to produce the solution, which is being sold as “Flexi-Hex”. The sleeves are produced from 85% recycled paper and can, according to the company, be easily recycled after use.

The pinch top box ensures a completely plastic-free design by eliminating the need for tape while reportedly providing a safe and secure fastening. Used in conjunction, Kite says that these products provide excellent protection while minimising environmental impact.

It’s big news when a brand gains on-shelf placement at a major retailer like Costco, but that excitement multiplies when it’s a new product launch from a small company like Rip Van in Brooklyn, NY.

The designers did their homework: The products are packaged in colorful 2-ounce squeeze bottles that mimic the iconic Crayola crayon and brand design.

"Our entire portfolio, but especially our signature spiced pickles, is really different than anything else that's on shelves, and while it served us well for years, our former packaging just wasn't quite right for us anymore given who we are now and where we want to go in the future," said Alok Advani, CEO of SuckerPunch Gourmet.
