Unique lidding solution for a revolutionary new tea machine from Unilever

Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury (formerly Chadwicks) has designed and manufactured an innovative lidding solution for the capsules used in a revolutionary new tea machine.The tea machine, designed for the home, uses ‘loose’ tea-leaf capsules which release tea into a visible brewing orb in order to create the optimum brew, with different water temperatures and brewing times tailored to its individual tea variants. In total there are 33 specially blended varieties of tea and infusions available in the capsules.

Enviro Barrier is a  multiwall paper sack for cement, industrial powders and foodstuffs. It is biodegradable, compostable and recyclable. It can be disposed off similar to paper recycling systems, composting, or into landfill. This sack exhibits excellent performance on high speed filling systems at a similar cost.

Pact Group developed a Seasonal & Promotional pack for the Footy Water bottle. Pact Group worked with The Promotions Factory (TPF) and the Australian Football League (AFL) to design and develop the innovative Footy Water bottle. This bottle is made up of PET that replicates the traditional Sherrin football shape and simultaneously promote water consumption and an active lifestyle. This bottle design is made like that after consumption, the bottle is robust enough that it could be kicked around like a football without warping, splitting or breaking.

Label to sense ripening of fruits

RipeSense Labels technology is an intelligent ripeness indicator developed to detect volatile aroma compounds associated with the ripening. The sensor label works by reacting to aromas released by pears as it ripens and changes colour upon detection of ripening aroma volatiles. The sensor is initially red and graduates to orange and finally yellow. Consumers can conveniently match the colour of the sensor label with their eating preferences, accurately choosing and consuming fruit according to their firmness/ripeness preferences.
