Spout for Liquid Paper Cartons

Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) has developed a spout for use with paper cartons for liquids, such as fruit juices and alcohol. The development of the new spout marks yet another industry first for DNP, and is a universal design intended to make it easier and more convenient for more people, including the elderly, to open such cartons. Currently available spouts for use with paper cartons for liquids include an inner plug with a pull ring. When opening, it can be difficult to insert the finger into the pull ring, and considerable strength is required.

ECONOMICAL ALTERNATIVE TO BLOW-FILL-SEAL

Portions of sensitive single-use liquids and pastes are traditionally packaged using the blow-fill-seal method (BFS). However, in general this is complex and inflexible. When it comes to the manufacturing of aseptic packages, sterile blisters from Rohrer provide an innovative, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly alternative to the traditional method. This sterile blister works as the economical alternative to blow-fill-seal.

Stand Up Pouches Leak Detection System

Last year, leakage detection specialists, Qipack installed 4 leak detection devices at Scholle IPN. They were for newly installed production lines for pouches. Already, the production loss, due to leaking pouches has been reduced drastically and now Scholle IPN is ready for the next step: Process optimization. There are some systems that can do leak tests, but not one system that can do this on the production line.

Bumper Shipper Pack

DS Smith Ltd has designed a pack for Bumper Shipper for Jaguar Land Rover. Company required new packaging for individual parts allowing worldwide shipment of the Evoque front bumper. The individual pack is constructed from one piece of Heavy Duty corrugated board which has been designed to elevate and protect vulnerable areas of the product and follow the contours of the bumper which enable each pack to be nested and secured together with clever locking tabs that negate the need for any stitching or taping.

Block Bottom Bag

A special lacquer coating strengthens the edges of the block bottom bag so that they do not break.  The paper bag can be optimally stored and the contents are always properly protected.  The varnish offers even more: A pleasant, slightly velvety haptic provides for the certain extra and the dirt-repellent properties for perfect hygiene. An offset lamination and bonding of the components also increases the density of the package. Thus, the original Basler Läckerli remain fresh longer.

Easy peeling

A developed container featuring easy-peelability. The slightly bent-down edge of the container creates a space in between the edge and the sealing where a fingertip can be smoothly inserted and the sealing can be easily pinched and lifted up. Also, the sealing is designed to be a little bit longer and wider than the edge of container to find the opening easily and to be open either from right or left.

Reverse Printed Flexibles

This package features reverse printed multi-variant image which is visible on the inside and does not contact the product. The image is applied to the transparent film and the paint is not in contact with the product. Then the metallization is applied and a main image. Additional wrapping is not necessary, thus reducing packaging costs and food print.This pack also won world star award 2017.
