As part of its continuous environmental improvement efforts, Shure is a member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition. With more than 1,500 different packaging pieces for a variety of different products, converting to sustainable packaging is a significant undertaking, especially for high-performance electronic equipment which is shipped to various locations globally to reach customers all over the world. 

Key sustainable packaging initiatives include:

•      Replacing thermoform trays with more sustainable, recyclable alternatives such as molded pulp.

Strategic alliance between both parties
The essence of this strategic alliance focuses on the joint effort to produce pulp materials directly applicable to the papermaking and fiber cast packaging industries. Become together PAPACKS® and EMBA® aim to utilize a diverse range of renewable resources such as eucalyptus, bamboo, sugar cane, industrial hemp and agricultural waste. What is particularly noteworthy is that the partnership builds on the successful track record of joint development projects, particularly in the area of ​​industrial hemp.

A mix of retailers, sole traders and social enterprises have signed up for the Green Street Pioneers Scheme, which offers grants, support and advice on how businesses can proactively champion sustainability in house and with customers, lessening their impact on the planet.

Conscious consumers are making a switch to compostable coffee capsules but brands are struggling to develop an effective eco-friendly lid that complies with all qualitative aspects. TIPA and ATI’s compostable lid, combines between TIPA’s breakthrough high barrier film and ATI’s patent protected system to support consisted flow and enhanced taste experience.

Parkside has partnered with vegan chocolate brand Mummy Meegz to develop a 100 percent home compostable pack for its indulgent Swiss Choccy Balls. 

The vividly colored pink and blue pouches are made with Parkside’s Park2Nature compostable material, meaning the chocolates are both sustainably sourced and packed in TÜV-certified home compostable packaging. The new product launch comes hot on the heels of the successful launch of the brand’s Billie Bars, vegan swap chocolate bars that were also packed in Park2Nature.  

Pregis LLC, a Chicago-based developer of protective packaging, has unveiled a foam packaging product supported by certified-circular polyethylene (PE) resins through a collaboration with Irving, Texas-based ExxonMobil Corp.
