PC Correspondent

Britannia, Colgate and Nestle will be most impacted by the new plastic waste management (PWM) rules that are likely to push up packaging costs for consumer firms, suggests a note by Kotak Institutional Equities. These new rules are likely to be implemented starting in a phased manner starting fiscal 2024-25 (FY25).
On the other hand, Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), ITC, Jyothy Labs and Varun Beverages Limited (VBL), the report said, will be least impacted by the new PWM rules.

15 Jul 2024
PC Correspondent

The red packaging of one of Australia’s best-known confectionary brands is changing in a big way, with the people behind the change labelling it the most “important” switch ever.

Allen’s has always been easy to spot in the supermarket aisle due to its bold colour and fun characters.

But now Nestle, who own the brand, is giving the party favourites a makeover.

The packaging will now be matte, and in the process, will reduce the amount of plastic the brand uses.
