Gerresheimer Glas GmbH, an indirect subsidiary of Gerresheimer AG, has today signed a purchase agreement with funds advised by Triton ("Triton") for the acquisition of Blitz LuxCo Sarl, the holding company of the Bormioli Pharma Group ("Bormioli Pharma"). The purchase price is based on a determined enterprise value of around EUR 800 million, which corresponds to an adj. EBITDA multiple of around 10 Bormioli Pharma, has 9 production sites in Europe. The Group generates revenues of around EUR 370 million and an adj. EBITDA margin of around 21%.

PA Consulting, the company bringing ingenuity to life, and PulPac, the Swedish packaging solutions company behind Dry Molded Fiber, announce that Sanofi’s Consumer Healthcare (CHC) has joined the Blister Pack Collective. Sanofi CHC first announced that it joined PA and PulPac’s Bottle Collective back in April 2023.

The new packaging solution is a mono-material polyethylene (PE) laminate that can be used for a wide range of packaging formats. It can replace non-recyclable with recycle-ready lidding for 3D thermoformed packages, that are used for drapes and protective materials, catheters, as well as injection and tubing systems. Another application of the laminates would be in 2D pouches for products such as wound care materials and gloves.  

The theme of this year’s exhibition, from 13-16 November, is sustainability. Formpeel P is the latest addition to Coveris’ portfolio of sustainable materials, which also includes Formpeel T, Flexopeel T and Cleerpeel, and provides the same functionality and safety as traditional materials, while minimising packaging and product waste.
