Looking to save 175 tonnes of plastic each year, the fully recyclable card-based porridge pots are set to roll out across the discount grocers UK stores at the start of 2023.

The first supermarket to make the change, this comes as Aldi has also become the first grocery retailer to join a global coalition calling for a new Global Plastics Treaty to end plastic pollution.

This product joins SEE’s other paper mailer offerings, including SEALED AIR® brand return-ready mailers, SEALED AIR® brand padded mailers and SEALED AIR® brand rigid mailers.

To combat myths about deforestation and reduce consumption guilt, the new sustainability campaign emphasizes how our industry protects wildlife and habitats; creates innovative, renewable products; and supports the health of our planet through recycling and sustainability efforts. Using print, video, and social media ads, the P&PB's new campaign connects with the young and the young at heart through a world awash in color and relatable storytelling. This campaign alone has amassed almost 48 million video views across social media, CTV, and display platforms.

The new packaging design is eco-friendly and moves away from plastic to paper. The designs are festive and the boxes are durable and make the everyday use of the products a breeze. The boxes are intelligently designed in a way that one can easily see and understand the product inside despite the box being made of cardboard. The packaging is also more user-friendly and easy to use, making it even more convenient for customers to incorporate traditional rituals into their busy lives.

Nestlé has announced a “global first” for its iconic KitKat is being trialled in Australia.

The popular 45g four-finger bars will be wrapped in “innovative new paper packaging” sold exclusively at Coles supermarkets in Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Bars wrapped in the new paper packaging will be sold for a “limited time” from January as the brand explores different avenues to meet Nestlé’s goal of reducing its use of virgin plastics by a third by 2025.
