Hyke switches gin to aluminium bottle

Partnering with Neville & More to use Envases, distributed in the UK by Vetroplas, Hyke has switched to a 70cl gin in aluminium bottles.

Made from 100% recycled aluminium (PCR), these bottles reduce the filled bottle weight by 40% compared to glass which cuts transportation fuel use.

The new design incorporates offset printing on an opaque base coat, sealed with a matte lacquer for its new look.

Nestlé trials paper Quality Street tubs in Tesco ahead of Christmas

More than 200,000 paper tubs will begin rolling out to selected Tesco stores next week, carrying around 150 tonnes of Quality Street.

The tub, which is suitable for home recycling, has a “luxurious design”, embellished with gold foil.

It features an integrated reclose feature, so it can be shut securely after opening.

The packaging innovation was subjected to “significant testing” to ensure food quality and freshness was maintained during transportation and storage.

CCL also reveals that the total dollar sales of personal body spray products in the US were approximately US$2.5 billion in 2023. In the past year, the global market for body sprays was “equally robust” and valued at an estimated US$10 billion.
