Coco Labelle’s founder Elisabeth Brown was brought up in a mixed family that shaped her knowledge and appreciation of foods from all over the world.

This is a result of her having lived in Rome, London and Mauritius where African, French, Chinese and Indian foods are fused to make culturally diverse meals.

Through this partnership, the brand has launched Date Energy Bars, India’s first energy bar with compostable flexible packaging.

The new Date Energy Bars, produced by Brawny Bear, are packaged using Pakka Limited’s compostable flexible packaging. This product not only offers a healthy snack option but also addresses the growing concern of packaging waste in India.

When compared to the lifecycle of steel cans, the new packaging is claimed to have six times less climate impact.

Easy to open and store, the new packaging is 60% lighter, occupies 30% less shelf space, and is designed to reduce transport space by 20%.

Earthborn Holistic’s canned wet cat food line includes seven recipes: Catalina Catch, Chicken Catcciatori, Harbor Harvest, Monterey Medley, Chicken Jumble with Liver, Chicken Fricatssee, and RanchHouse Stew. Each recipe can be served as a topper, mix-in or complete-and-balanced meal. 

“Our largest sector is the produce industry — with berry growers and shippers being a very large percentage of our clients,” said Greg Ganzerla, president and CEO of the Lake Forest, CA-based company. “Our goal is to offer a MAP solution to the berry industry that is effective, affordable and easy to use.”

Not only does PEAKfresh provide longer shelf life, but it helps lower labor and energy costs.

The initiative will focus on flights arriving at Mumbai airport in India and aims to find ways to increase circularity as well as recycling rates of onboard materials coming into Mumbai Airport. The project’s initial stage includes a scoping study to map and showcase the current waste management practices at the Lufthansa’s outstation in Mumbai airport and learn what Lufthansa can do to improve circularity of the materials on their flights.

Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Sloe Gin, bottle is made with 95% recycled content, all of it post-consumer recycled glass (PCR). This was made possible by the brand working closely with specialist wild glass supplier ESTAL.

The bottles’ labels are made with crushed citrus paper, using 15% citrus fruit leftovers and 40% recycled fibres. Shrink wraps are made with a renewable “plastic substitute” (PLA), from fermented plant starch.

Indian dairy brand Amul has issued a public advisory alerting consumers to counterfeit Amul ghee circulating in the market. The company has discovered that some dishonest distributors are selling fake ghee, especially in a one-litre refill pack, which Amul has not manufactured in over three years.
