Post-consumer recycled aluminium, or PCR aluminium for short, is manufactured through the recycling of post-consumer aluminium scrap (waste after use). According to DIN EN ISO 14021, post-consumer scrap is material which can no longer be used for its intended purpose after its actual use. In this respect, it is irrelevant whether the scrap comes from households, commercial, industrial, or institutional use. LINHARDT PCR packaging contains 100% post-consumer recyclate made from end-of-life aluminium scraps like cable wires or lithographic plates.

Recycled packaging contributes significantly to greater resource efficiency and waste avoidance: All contained products that reach the user undamaged do not have to be produced and transported again. Precisely fitting protective packaging made of plastic accomplishes this task like hardly any other material and this with low weight and optimized reusability.

The rare genetic light disorder means that when skin comes into contact with the visible, coloured parts of sunlight, it causes neuropathic pain and triggers burns.

In patients, when exposed to sunlight, a precursor of the red blood pigment, protoporphyrin, is deposited in blood vessels.

Energy from visible light is absorbed and triggers a chemical reaction, which the person affected perceives as severe pain and which appears as burns on the skin.

The Austrian family company Almdudler has decided to use gender-inclusive language, marked in German by using a star to include feminine and masculine versions of nouns, in their packaging design. It is one of the first in the German-Austrian beverage market to do so. Almdudler*in is now printed on 200,000 of the 0.35L recyclable bottles with their distinctive shape to create the limited diversity edition. The herbal lemonade manufacturer has thus changed their classic brand identity after over 60 years and is creating a stir.
