Then there were many interesrting presentations on various packaging innovations for the emerging markets like my mr santanu chowdhury; associate director of ranbaxy labs ltd, a story of metal packaging by mr saket bhtia of rexam hindustan tin works where he nicely showed how metal is 1005 recyclable and what are the new trends for the emerging market. The show was attended by senior industry leaders and the various cross functions. It was great to see so many alumnus of indian institute of packaging. During the seminar, the current director of indian institute of packaging: prof n c saha also announced that indian institute of packaging is now working on b.tech & m.tech in packaging technology. Let us see how far and how fast he succeeds to get this moving as there had been many attempts in the last 25 years but nothing visible to the post graduate students of indian institute of packaging is seen till date.
