In which processes do you use the Distribution pallet?
We use it internally in our production lines. We use the pallets for storing, processing, and packaging our poultry products, as well as for shipping them to our customers and to all our branches in the south of the country. However, when shipping to major retailers we use the packaging solutions requested by our customers.

What advantages and benefits does the pallet provide?
It is very sturdy and durable. Before starting to use it, we ran several stress tests and were very impressed by the pallet. One of the tests involved throwing the pallet from a 20 meters height to see what happens, and the pallet was barely damaged, indeed it stayed intact.

What type of pallets were you previously using?
We were also using plastic nestable pallets, but they were not as sturdy as the Distribution pallet and not as safe to handle.

Has the Distribution pallet upgraded your work in any way?
Yes, apart from the pallet’s sturdiness and durability which I’ve already mentioned, people feel more comfortable working with this pallet. Our staff feels safer because the crates fit better and move less, so the load remains secure. The size of our crates is a bit smaller than 40cm, usually around 38-39cm, and with the safety rim of regular pallets, the crates were unsteady. The Distribution pallet, however, has a special 1cm-wide safety rim. This helps us a lot in securing the load and preventing crates from becoming loose.

So, which would you say is the main advantage?
Mainly the pallet’s sturdiness and durability, although features like the special safety rim for crates are also highly valuable for us.

Productos Florida uses the open deck, Euro-size 120x80cm/48X32in version of the Distribution Pallets series. It is a nestable pallet designed to perform multiple cycles in a closed circuit, where the pallet can be recovered and reused as many times as needed and is capable of performing around 100-200 trips depending on its use. Pallets from this series are also available with a closed deck configuration and the ISO standard size of 120x100cm/48X40in
