BakPac installs second HP Indigo 200K press

BakPac, the flexible packaging division of Baker Labels, has installed its second HP Indigo 200K Digital Press. This is the second installation of this press in the UK.

This investment bolsters BakPac’s production capacity. In line with its two-year, 5m+ GBP (6.48m+ USD) investment strategy, BakPac will install a third Galaxy Packtech pouch converter in November, bringing its total to four. Two additional pouch converters are expected in early 2025.

Bakcycle recycles flexible packaging of the highest quality using TOMRA technologies

Bakcycle Recycling, founded by Bakioğlu Holding, a pioneer in Turkey’s packaging sector with over 50 years of experience, began active operations at the end of 2023. The company produces granules as a substitute for original raw materials from post-consumer low-density polyethylene (LDPE) packaging waste, mainly sourced from municipal and packaging waste sorting facilities. The recycled granules are used in flexible packaging production.

Early in the morning, hundreds of citizens started arriving at the headquarters in via Selice Provinciale, Imola: a unique opportunity to bring the entire community into contact with SACMI’s production and innovation hubs, with tours and even special events for the younger visitor. SACMI President, Paolo Mongardi: “A wonderful way to bring as many people as possible into our world, to have them share in our celebrations and to strengthen the long-standing ties between SACMI and the local community".
