Oberschleissheim, March 22, 2021 – When Schreiner Group’s Chinese production site opened its gates for the grand opening billed as "Inspired by Tradition – Built for Innovation," an extensive planning process had preceded the event. For the medium-sized family business based in Oberschleissheim near Munich, opening a Chinese location proved to be a positive venture that paid off. Now, the manufacturing facility in the Shanghai metro area is celebrating its fifth anniversary—and the future has already been planned. 

Sidel packaging team in Shanghai, China redesigned the package of Menton flavoured water by integrating youthfulness into its health attribute. The straight-wall lightweight PET bottle, which weighs only 17.85 grams for the 500 ml format, conveys the sense of modernity and is a statement of sustainable packaging. Targeting young consumers in China, this new design differentiates Menton as a premium choice among other Ready-to-Drink (RTD) flavoured water brands in the market.

This week, the industry prizes for exemplary specialist markets and specialist market centers in the categories of new construction, refurbishment, mixed use and the special prize of the jury were awarded. The organizers are the dfv Conference Group, a subsidiary of the dfv media group, and Heuer Dialog. The winners were first honored in the digital award ceremony on Monday, after which the organizers personally presented the trophies and certificates.

Sidel’s art designers have created the NUUK bottle concept, drawing inspiration from the purity of ice and its formations.  The NUUK brand takes its name from Greenland’s capital and the fjords that make it famous. The “Frozen, Authentic, Unique” slogan highlights the brand’s attributes, which are closely linked to water and its features. Produced from clear, 100% recycled PET (rPET), NUUK is a container designed for high-quality, fjord-sourced premium water brands.
