Are plastics actually bad for our envrionment or there is something else? What is your say?

During World Environment Day 2018, the theme is "Beat Plastic Pollution" and slogan is "moving towards  a plastic-free future". But don't you think blaming plastics alone is not right. It is true disposable plastics, bottles and non-recyclable waste is the worry of every one but banning all the plastics is definitely not the solution.

There are ways which by which we can reduce plastic pollution but we have to make efforts to follow them. Simply banning a laminate or a PET bottle can never give a satisfactory solution to this global problem.

Plastics are not inherently bad. It's what we do, or don't do, with them that counts - Sylvia Earle (National Geographic Explorer-in Residence).

This quote is actually true, the issue is not with the plastic but with our disposal systems, waste management and our habits.

We have created a small survey to hear your thoughts on this global problem and how we can find the solution to this. Here is the link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/plasticsandenvironment

In Hindi there is a common saying,"Jo kamjor hota hai usko hi fassa diya jaata hain",I hope you understand, what I mean to say here. In my opinion it should be more like a social responsibility every individual has to follow to use plastic smartly without abusing it.
Consumer have to Reuse it
Brand Owners should thick on its Recyclability
Plastic Manufacturer need to devise methods for recycling as they are the creator.
Government need to start a new subject in school curriculum so that coming generation should understand the pros and cons.
Regulatory bodies need to work and implement stringent rules and regulation to control the plastic abuse in product life cycle system.

You raised a tricky and

You raised a tricky and difficult question,"Who is going to lead"?

In my opinion the institute or orgnization which can influence the whole plastic ecosystem should lead which includes premier packaging institutes worldwide. As they have greater access than other in the system.
