the seventh annual meeting of the flexographic printing branch of china printing technology association was held in xiamen, fujian province, on october 17. representatives from reed exhibitions, together with more than 200 guests from china printing technology association&rsquos cpta flexographic printing branch took part in the meeting. the second standing council also held their fifth of informative presentations, including a number of keynote speeches, also took place. the technical director of flint&rsquos flexographic printing product department in asiapacific illustrated the role of flexographic printing in the innovation of packaging technology. liu xinfeng, general manager of xi&rsquoan qinhua machinery introduced a new design of flexographic printing machines. shao beihai, ceo of united printing equipment and materials corp announced the latest findings from the flexographic printing industry in the west. lu youhai, deputy general manager of shanghai printing group, introduced shanghai&rsquos development of flexographic printing technologies for textbooks. david jones, overseas consultant for shanghai laser group, presented new technologies for cleaning porcelain anilox rollers with alpha ultrasonic waves. geng wanmin, consultant at china printing equipment and consumables association reviewed current procedures regarding the quality standard of labels. liu zhikui, sales manager of beijing lust lightech, presented his company&rsquos management solutions for ensuring the production of high quality labels. liu weicheng, president of zhuzhou sinovan packaging technology corp introduced newly developed flexographic printing equipment. xiang qiang, solutions manager for esko shanghai, and bao wei, the company&rsquos business development manager, discussed hardware and software solutions. yang wenzheng, a flexographic printing consultant from taiwan, illustrated the quickest and most efficient way to set up a satellite flexographic printing production line. to conclude the meeting, participants visited xiamen hexing&rsquos advanced packaging r&d center and prepress production center. the seminar on new technology of flexographic printing was held on october 18, cohosted by wu hongyi, vice president of xiamen hexing, and zhang yixiong, consultant to the flexographic printing branch. the purpose of the meeting was to share the latest technological information on flexographic printing. during the seminar, talks were given by xue xiaole, sales manager of eastman kodak zhang yimeng, general manager of uteco zhao song, market and technical manager of great china region of dupont, and liu xinfeng, general manager of xi&rsquoan qinhua machinery. the talks were concluded by zhang yi xiong and wu hongyi discussing their experiences within flexographic printing and green printing.both the meeting and the seminar were successful in proving that sinocorrugated south and sinofoldingcarton hold a leading position in the industry. this was proven by the number of participants who agreed to attend sinocorrugated south and sinofoldingcarton 2014, at guangdong modern international exhibition center from april 10 to 12. together, the dual events will span an exhibition area of 60,000 sqm and host over 600 exhibitors showcasing 1,300 corrugated and folding carton tools. an additional 1,000 kinds of consumables will also be on show. the combined events are expected to attract over 26,000 visitors and 50 industry associations.furthermore, a number of pavilionlike zones will be integrated into the events to
