polysack flexible packaging ltd.&nbspreceived formal recognition in june 2014 from the&nbspassociation of postconsumer plastic recyclers apr&nbspin north america for developing&nbsppolyphane&trade fit&nbspfilm that meets&nbspapr&rsquos stringent testing and guidance criteria for sleeve label ink and substrate for pet bottles.&nbsppolysack&nbspis a developer and manufacturer of innovative&nbspmdobased packaging films for the beverage, food and confectionery industries.&nbspapr&nbspannounced&nbsppolysack&rsquos&nbspfull compliance with the guidelines of&nbspapr&rsquos&nbspcritical and applications guidance recognition program, designed to help packaging developers conform to recycling rules.&nbspapr&nbspcongratulated&nbsppolysack&nbspfor its success in developing innovative packaging, and thanked&nbsppolysack&nbspfor its cooperation in using&nbspapr&rsquos&nbspprotocol.&nbspapr&nbspexpressed its belief that&nbsppolysack&rsquos&nbspnew technology will benefit worldwide recycling efforts by reducing the negative impact that sleeve labels have on pet recycling today.&nbsppolyphane fit&nbspis a highshrink polyolefinbased film used for producing rollfed wraparound shrink labels for beverage bottles. the lightestweight recyclable mdfilm in the world,&nbsppolyphane&trade&nbspfit&nbspyields shrink ratios from 35 to 65, generating close to 0 scrap, thereby reducing manufacturing and material costs by 30 compared to conventional sleeves.&nbspduring the labelling process the film runs on the conveyer belt in the same direction as the bottles, and the sleeves are produced simultaneously, increasing labelling speed, while eliminating several inspection steps and the need to produce actual sleeves.polyphane&trade fit&nbsplabelling film contains a nonhalogen material which, in a series of&nbspapr&nbsptests, enabled easy separation and floatation of labels during the recycling process with no ink dissolution. john standish,&nbspapr&rsquos&nbsptechnical director said that&nbsppolysack&nbsphad taken &ldquoa huge step in helping generate more good clean material available for recycling&ldquo. the announcement follows&nbsppolysack&rsquos longstanding commitment to the environment, working closely with customers and recycling agencies to consistently manufacture ecofriendly solutions.&nbsp&nbsp&nbspfor further information please visit&nbspwww.polysack.com&nbspor contact&nbspsales@polysack.com&nbsp
