omet 50 years anniversary a year full of celebrations and renewed commitment to customers.omet srl officially entered on february the 1st 2013 the 50th year from foundation and is preparing to celebrate the occasion with a series of events dedicated to customers, the press and the employees.omet lecco just reached this important milestone and has the credentials to celebrate. there is something to be proud of how the company has grown over time and has consolidated its position in the tissue converting and narrow and midweb printing markets, strengthening a brand now recognized worldwide and synonymous with quality, reliability and continuous innovation.fifty years is a goal that deserves to be celebrated and remembered. for this reason omet has decided to realize a few events dedicated to the company&39s stakeholders at various levels.celebrations will begin with the participation to tissue world in barcelona in march 2013 with a booth dedicated to the 50th anniversary, soon followed by the great may celebrations that will include an event dedicated to the trade press and opinion leaders where the company monograph "omet 50 years of passion and excellence&rdquo will be unveiled, an open house organized in parallel with converflex show in milan and, to follow, the central events a gala dinner dedicated to major world customers in the printing & packaging sector and the participation as advisors to "it&39s tissue", a week of conferences, social happenings and open doors events that will include a visit to the twelve leaders of the tissue market in italy &ndash among whose omet scheduled for the week of june 22nd to 30th, 2013.after the summer holidays, the celebrations will continue and live one of their greatest moments with the participation to labelexpo europe 2013 in brussels, a show dedicated to labels and packaging, where omet will reveal a new look with great effect. the celebrations will end with an internal event dedicated to the employees of the entire group omet. if the opening of the year of the 50th had been a photo contest remembered for the large number of participants and quality of the works presented, the anniversary year will be closed with a sport event for the employees of omet and respective families.it is tradition that each big anniversary is the occasion for renovation. in fact, opac, company in the omet group active in the production of wet wipes moved recently to a new plant and the division omet systems in motion was transferred to valmadrera, near lecco, in a larger and more modern complex. for what concerns omet machines division the anniversary year saw the separation into two different factories the manufacturing plant of printing presses remained in via polvara while the tissue converting branch was relocated at the end of 2012 to the historical site omet in via caduti a fossoli, renovated inside and out and equipped with a new powerful photovoltaic system. the site of via polvara is undergoing some renovations in the exterior look and in some of the internal structures, including the technology center, core of the activity of omet in the packaging market.
