Pianoro (Bologna) – Just before the summer break from the agenda of trade fairs, Marchesini Group will be taking part in two of the most important packaging venues in Brazil and Mexico. Starting with FCE Pharma, from May 10th to 12th, at the Transamerica Expo Center in San Paolo and shortly after, from May 17th to 20th, the Group will be at Expopack, at the Expo Bancomer Santa Fe in Mexico City. On both occasions, Marchesini has decided to focus on blister packaging with its Integra 220, at FCE Pharma, and its elder sister, 320, at Expopack. Both lines have set the foundations for the Group’s success in this market share and have opened the Blisterevolution season, together with the evolution of Integra 520 V, leading up to the inauguration next October in Carpi  (in the province of Modena) of the largest thermoforming centre in Italy.

At FCE Pharma, on show, progenitor of the Integra lines
At the Brazilian venue, the group will showcase Integra 220, the progenitor of the blister lines of the Marchesini Group; this model inspired the later versions 320 and 520 V. The 220 model was the first Integra unit but it already had the structural specifications required to make this array of machines a benchmark in the blister packaging industry.

The core features are that the thermoforming and carton packaging units are combined into one, giving the 220 version a very compact layout of remarkable

visual appeal. This vital choice offers outstanding advantages in time and cost-saving, because, by combining the two main work stations into one, the machine is just 8 meters long and is therefore very easy to clean and manage, and size change-over operations are fast and simple. What’s more, such operational management rapidity, alongside the fact that each station runs with servomotors, from forming through to cutting, contributes in gaining and maintaining high production rates, even up to 150 cartons a minute.

Expopack, in Mexico, a mix of innovation and Italian technology
In Mexico, the group will be exhibiting Integra 320. Innovation and ergonomics purpose-built to separate the workplaces and to cut costs and times. Integra 320 is a combination of innovation and the best of made-in-Italy technologies. The new machine pitch controller, the new cartoner and the innovative carton opening and product insertion system, boost production rates, taking them to an impressive 320 blisters and over 260 cartons a minute. These impressive features are combined into one very compact machine, by integrating the blister thermoforming and carton packaging phases into just one monobloc. A 3-axes Robocombi equipped with a pick-up head with suction units, patented by Marchesini, connects the two stations and makes size change-over operations very straightforward. Instead of having various individual parts, the units have been integrated into blocks that can be replaced with one single movement.
