Neuss, 10 November 2017. Agral S.A., one of the largest butter producers in Europe, is the first company to have IMA Benhil's newly developed wrapping machine "Multipack 2000" installed. This will enable the butter producer to achieve considerable productivity growth in its manufacturing processes.

As a very compact and flexible wrapping machine, Multipack 2000 is ideally suited for customers who want to increase their productivity", said Cédric Mazet, Area Sales Manager at IMA Benhil. "This was exactly the determining factor for Agral." The Belgian butter producer has just restructured its historic machinery to increase efficiency and meet the growth in demand. "We have too many production lines, some of which have reached the end of their life cycle", said Jean Rouschop, site manager at Agral S.A. "With Multipack 2000 we are able to not only increase our output with immediate effect but it can also replace several machines."

Multipack 2000 is a fully automated wrapping machine for butter with traditional bottom fold that was presented for the first time at interpack in May. The machine's key features are very compact dimensions and great robustness and it is designed as an entry-level machine for new customers or for customers such as Agral who want to replace their old machinery to increase efficiency. A broad dosing range and very short changeover times make the machine especially flexible. A filling variety of between 100 g and 500 g as well as a wide range of products can be processed with short setting-up times. The Multipack 2000 produces up to 100 packs per minute. The machine's exceptional filling accuracy is remarkable. This is s= 0.5 g for Qn < 250 g. "We are very pleased with the performance of the Multipack 2000", reported Rouschop. "We have less maintenance expense and have so far not encountered any problems."

The Belgian butter producer Agral serves markets in Belgium, Germany and France as well as in North Africa and Asia. The company produces its own brands as well as brands for supermarkets such as Carrefour and for discounters such as Aldi, Lidl and Kaufland. Agral S.A has worked with IMA Benhil for more than three decades and is already using around 20 machines of IMA Benhil. Multipack 2000 replaces an IMA Benhil Multipack 8380 among others, which has worked reliably for 30 years.
