Greiner Packaging’s winning streak continues: The plastic experts have won yet another prize after a series of awards this autumn in Germany, the Czech Republic, Turkey and Austria. At the WorldStar Packaging Awards they have now been honored with the title of “WorldStar Winner 2019”.
Kremsmünster, December 2018. Every year in the name of the World Packaging Organisation, the WorldStar Packaging Awards honor innovative, sustainable and safe packaging concepts, as well as successful marketing concepts. This year, the specialist jury met in Jingjang, China to decide on the winners. The official award ceremony, however, will take place on the 15th of May at a celebratory gala dinner in Prague, Czech Republic. The innovative food packaging solutions of Greiner Packaging continue to be an inspiration for the industry – the consecutive award is irrefutable proof of the company’s capacity for success.
Convenience solution
The product – a transparent lid made of polypropylene in which a spoon is inserted – received the award in the category “Food”. The lid is produced with the help of thermoforming technology, in an effort to offer customers a cost and time efficient solution. The included spoon makes it practical to enjoy various dishes on the go. Therefore, the innovative packaging solution complies perfectly with the current trend for convenience foods.
Significant packaging award
The WorldStar Packaging Awards Competition is one of the major events of the World Packaging Organisation and is the pre-eminent international award in packaging. WorldStar illustrates the continual advancement of the state of packaging design and technology and creates a living standard of international packaging, inspiring other companies worldwide. In this year, products had the possibility to be entered into a total of 16 categories, 56 entries were registered in the food category alone. The fact that Greiner Packaging’s innovative lid solution went up against notable competition and was honored, is proof of the company’s innovative capabilities.
