A canadian company, nature&rsquos farm&trade, has chosen sustainable and compostable natureflex&trade from innovia films to wrap its range of gourmet pasta products. Founded in 1987 in steinbach, manitoba, nature&rsquos farm&trade is a familyowned business with a poultry operation producing eggs.  In 1993 after several years of careful research and some time as a &lsquodesigneregg&rsquo wholesaler, they introduced nature&rsquos pasta&trade, which now appears on the menus of some of north america&rsquos best eating establishments. The farm&rsquos fresh freerange eggs from hens fed an allnatural vegetarian diet go through a stringent quality inspection before being shipped to the nearby pastamaking facility.  Strict adherence to oldworld, smallbatch production methods has created gourmet pasta that is setting new standards in taste, texture, and quality.  The products are packed inhouse on a bosch terra 25 vffs machine set up to run at 15ppm.  According to company founder, hermann grauer, natureflex&trade is an ideal packaging choice, "we are committed to ecological sustainability and stewardship.  Natureflex&trade is fully sustainable, lessens environmental impact and has fitted into our production line process with only minimal adjustment required.  The reaction of our customers&rsquo to the packaging has also been very positive and enthusiastic.&rdquo natureflex&trade was an obvious solution for the packaging as the film begins life as a natural product &ndash wood and breaks down at the end of its lifecycle in a home compost bin or industrial compost environment within a matter of weeks. Natureflex&trade films are certified to meet both the american astm d6400 and european en13432 standards for compostable packaging.  The woodpulp is sourced from managed plantations from referenced suppliers operating good forestry principals fsc or equivalent.  Natureflex&trade films typically have a renewable biobased content of some 95 by weight of material. &ldquonatureflex&trade is a very versatile product,&rdquo stated christopher tom, innovia films&rsquo account executive, canada &ldquoit is non oilbased and offers a technical performance second to none including good moisture barrier, excellent aroma barrier, deadfold and antistatic properties, high gloss and transparency, resistance to grease and oil and a wide heatseal range.  We are delighted to support nature&rsquos farm&trade by providing packaging that aligns with their environmentally and socially responsible values.&rdquo ends words 364for further information please contact  patricia potts, global communications manager zena bergmann, pr assistantinnovia films ltd, r & d centre, wigton, cumbria, ca7 9xx, uk                 tel 44 0 16973 42281                     fax 44 0 16973 41452                  email patricia.potts@innoviafilms.com    zena.bergmann@innoviafilms.com
