AMI, Bristol, November 2016 –Asia Pacific is one of the most exciting and dynamic markets for flexible packaging in the world. Across the region, flexible packaging suppliers and producers are exploring ways to further enhance packaging performance, improve processability and drive sustainability.

AMI’s fourth Specialty Packaging Films Asia conference, being held from 23-24 March 2017 at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Singapore, will cover the very latest innovations in films, raw materials, production techniques and applications that are setting the new standards for packaging excellence in Asia. The conference will open with AMI Consulting giving an update on the latest market trends driving the industry forwards. The innovation journey of flexible packaging will also be discussed by Thai Plastic Bags Industries.

With environmental and social responsibility truly ingrained into the business landscape, packaging has become a key element within sustainability frameworks. Global consumer goods company Nestlé will share the approach it is taking to reduce environmental impact, and Futamura, Avantium and Natureworks will explore the latest innovations in bio-based products.

Reifenhäuser, Macchi and Davis-Standard will showcase their latest extrusion systems for the production of customized, economical and source optimized films. Meanwhile companies including Dupont, Kuraray and Borouge will demonstrate new resins and high barrier solutions to improve shelf life and reduce food waste.

AMI’s Specialty Packaging Films Asia is relevant for all members of the supply chain including brand owners, retailers, packaging companies, researchers, materials and manufacturing experts. In addition to delivering quality papers, the conference also offers superb and cost-effective networking opportunities with its extensive table top exhibition area.
