 fiftieth graduate nvc chair packaging design and management on thursday 28 february 2013 marieke brouwer graduated as fiftieth student who was supervised by the nvc chair packaging design and management. this milestone marks the success of the nvc chair, established in 2006, and is occupied byprofessor roland ten klooster. after receiving her diploma, nvc gave marieke a bouquet of flowers and a gift certificate of &euro500 to emphasize that success. she can use the gift certificate for further development of her knowledge and skills in packaging by following the nvc course programme in packaging i or ii. marieke brouwer graduated at h.j. heinz, nvcmember and member of the programme counsel of the nvc chair, on the subject &ldquothe construction of a technology roadmap for strategic development, focussed on food packaging and products&rdquo. she has developed a technology roadmap and the accompanying processes in order to enable heinz to have better control over projects of different levels. the model was tested and completed through a case study in which the possibilities for applying sustainable materials in packaging were explored. more information the nvc chair packaging design and management is part of the faculty of engineering technology of twente university. through the nvc chair many graduation projects and several phd studies have been realised in the field of packaging.an important and unique aspect of the nvc chair is the programme counsel. it exists of twelve nvc member companies that contribute to financing the chair. the programme counsel and professor ten klooster meet twice a year to exchange experiences and develop research and educational programmes. the nvcmember companies in the programme counsel are merck sharp & dohme bv, container centralen benelux bv, tata steel packaging, ardagh group, frieslandcampina, h.j. heinz bv, oi, rexam beverage can oss b.v., robert bosch verpakkingsmachines bv, smurfit kappa development centre, budelpack poortvliet and royal grolsch. if you are interested in finding a student for a graduation assignment, or if you would like to get more information about the nvc chair packaging design and management, please contact ger standhardt.
