Enval, a leading provider of recycling and environmental technology solutions, today announced it had completed an environmental research study for unilever, to provide a &ldquocradle to grave&rdquo life cycle analysis &ldquolca&rdquo report on unilever&rsquos global supply chain in their toothpaste category. Enval is a modern environmental services company, focused on providing specialist solutions across industrial, commercial and municipal sectors to deliver value from waste to customers such as unilever. Enval&rsquos services encompass the provision of life cycle analysis in accordance with iso and uk pas 2050 standards."enval is delighted to have performed this critical project for such a large multinational organisation like unilever," said david boorman, business development manager at enval. "we have worked closely with unilever and its suppliers in order to obtain as much primary data as possible for this project. The results were vital for informing our client&rsquos global strategic packaging design decisions." enval provides this service to companies who need a detailed, independent 3rd party assessment of the carbon footprint and environmental impact of not only their manufacturing process but also for their product&rsquos postconsumer, endoflife waste. "we decided to retain enval for this project following a recommendation from one of our suppliers" said paola avogadro, unilever&39s global packaging director. She added &rdquowe commissioned a detailed study because we believe there is a real opportunity in carefully monitoring the evolution of waste processing technology. Life cycle assessment outcomes can change quite dramatically depending on the stream in place for postuse waste handling. The work done with enval has triggered interest in the pyrolytic recycling process which we will now carefully assess.&rdquo
