With its &ldquoecofriendly&rdquo concept oystar ercaformseal offers its customers a number of environmentallyfriendly packaging solutions, including &ldquopla&rdquo, a biologically degradable and renewable material. It can be composted and then disintegrates into the natural components of carbon and water, thus providing for a positive energy balance. Pla is compatible with all dairy products and is exceptional in retaining the taste and aroma of the various products. As a material it is also remarkable for its particularly good moldability and transparency. Oystar ercaformseal also relies on single material packaging that makes recycling considerably easier because both, the cup and the cover as well as the label are manufactured from the same material. Through thermoforming the machines produce thinwalled, but robust cups which, for example, have a plastic thickness of only 0.7 mm. This reduced use of material is not only ecological, but also results in lower costs.   Another component of the &ldquoecofriendly&rdquo concept consists in the fact that the products are only filled and packaged in plastic cups and not in glass cups &ndash because there are less carbon dioxide emissions during recycling that is, a plastic bottle with a filling quantity of one liter generates 129 grams of carbon dioxide, while a oneliter glass bottle produces 345 grams. Furthermore, there are the general advantages that plastic is less fragile and at the same time more lightweight than glass.   In addition, oystar ercaformseal now offers its customers the new material crushpak® from the manufacturer everedgeip for their food production. A yogurt cup made of crushpak® material can be pressed together like an accordion. The product itself is pushed upward and can be eaten directly out of the cup &ndash even without a spoon. The cup gradually becomes narrower and thus causes hardly any waste. Crushpak® can be used on all oystar ercaformseal forming, filling and sealing machines and is suitable for a large range of products &ndash from yogurt to pudding and ice cream, to jelly and chocolate mousse.
