beer in pet, sacmi to unveil the latest developments at upak 2013 continuing its pioneering stance, the group flies to moscow to present the latest technological and plant engineering innovation complete plants for the production and filling of pet bottles a real revolution launched by sacmi in 2011 that will step up a gear at this year&rsquos moscowheld upak fair with the presentation of new developments. the solution on show at hall 2.1 booth 21c17, specially conceived for the russian market, features important new technical and plant engineering characteristics capable of making a difference along the full length of the supply chain, from producers to bottlers and all the way to the final consumer. featuring profoundly renewed design &ndash matched with a singlepiece plastic imitation crown cap &ndash the sacmimade pet bottle for the beer industry will be displayed at the upak fair to be held from 29th january to 1st february 2013 at the zao expocentre krasnaya presnya, the aim being to highlight its innovative technological characteristics. thanks to indepth research and testing of materials, the risk of oxygeninduced product deterioration has, to all intents and purposes, been eliminated. the improvements stem from the cuttingedge filling systems that have been specifically designed for this type of material and product. the proposed filler &ndash the elt electronic volumetric longtube model for filling pet bottles with beer &ndash is part of a new electronic range developed by sacmi filling, which has made specialisation and working flexibility its overriding goals. moreover, all the fillers in the range feature &ldquoultraclean&rdquo filling isolators and fast size changeover systems. sacmi beverage will thus be presenting itself at the most important russian packaging fair with a complete turnkey solution that covers everything from the raw material to the bottle. there are new pet preform production systems governed by the innovative ips press then there are the rotary sbf stretchblow moulders, capable of boosting small bottle productivity on the machine thanks to the versatile dualcavity mould. also deserving of mention is the ccm capmaking series &ndash again characterised by high output performance, short cycle times and low energy consumption &ndash and the innovative labelling solutions developed by sacmi verona. sacmi&rsquos decision to focus on the russian market, to strengthen and develop its position in the beverage industry even further, is of particular strategic importance the russian market has 143 million consumers and has, over the last few years, shown strong signs of dynamism, especially in the food and drink sector. also worth pointing out is the mediumlong term legislative stability just a few months ago, in fact, the russian authorities confirmed that beer can be produced and bottled in pet recipients. and sacmi continues to make pioneering progress on this strategic market thanks to continuous marketing, process and product innovation.
