monteriggioni siena, italy crowds of customers and major revelations about future investments of the marchesini group are the results of two recentlyconcluded events.in just one week at the aseptic live show, which took place at the facilities of the leading manufacturer of automatic aseptic pharmaceutical packaging machines and member of the group &ldquocorima&rdquo, and, simultaneously, at the track and trace seminar, an international convention focusing on the state of the art of drug traceability and serialisation solutions new prospects were traced in two fundamental sectors for the pharmaceutical industry where the marchesini group has indeed been concentrating its efforts and making major technological investments.experts and journalists entered the world of corima throughout the five days of the aseptic live show, held in monteriggioni amidst the hills of tuscany, to take a closer look at how one of the top worldwide players of the aseptic packaging industry actually works. customers came to italy from more than 20 nations worldwide and were also taken to visit siena &ndash one of the most beautiful cities of italy, embellished with its ageold medieval surroundings still intact today &ndash and enjoyed dinner whilst overlooking the impressive main square &ldquopiazza del campo&rdquo.machines on showseveral lines and standalone machines were setup for the show to demonstrate the packaging solutions of small containers, vials and syringes devised and designed for some major international customers. two of the most appreciated lines were the isotechnique line for potent freezedried and liquid oncological products, which packages up to 24 thousand pieces a minute and the vial line manufactured for a canadian customer, made up of the wr24 washing machine, the depyr601 depyrogenation tunnel and the stery capsy fillercapper.customers were also offered the opportunity to see the vial line designed for a serbian customer at work, which is made up of the wr24us ultrasound washing machine, the depyr601 tunnel and the rsf24 laf filling machine, as well as some syringe lines put together for italian, chinese and thai customers. one of these was the syringe filling machine with hyaluronic acid.group&rsquos future investmentsthe ceo, mr. maurizio marchesini, announced to journalists that the current 6 thousand square meters of corima&rsquos factory will be expanded to 10 thousand, thanks to an investment worth 3.5 million euro this will also create 50 more job opportunities in addition to the 100 staff members employed there today. the project should be fulfilled over the next two years and is the second most important event to involve corima after its acquisition in 2008, when the marchesini group took over the tuscan company and contributed in making it one of the most innovative businesses of its industry.in addition to the investment announced during the event at corima&rsquos facilities, another one of 15 million euro has been planned to create a new factory covering 12 thousand square meters in carpi where the production of blister packaging machines is concentrated.so, these are significant growth perspectives based on positive future forecasts the group&rsquos registered turnover of 206 million euro of the previous year should grow in 2014 by 12, with a rise in orders of 8.while the aseptic live show was taking place in tuscany, the track and trace seminar was also going ahead at the headquarters in pianoro, in which some of the most renowned international experts of the sector participated.eight workshops, held in three languages, took place for customers who had come from all over the world, especially england, russia and pacific asia, to discuss the presently enforced regulations on the topic of pharmaceutical traceability. this field is evolving continuously and the marchesini group is a definite source of guaranteed safety because it is indeed capable of offering customised solutions based on the regulations in force in the various nations and based on the differing production needs of its customers.&nbspmarchesini groupborn from an idea of massimo marchesini in 1974 in pianoro bo, where the headquarters are still based, marchesini group is a leader in the supply of complete lines and machines for pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging. the numbers prove its success a consolidated turnover of the entire group amounted to 206,5 million euro in 2013, with 1200 employees 500 direct and 700 between group companies and foreign branches, 14 manufacturing divisions, 7 acquired companies, one company partner, a network of 20 agencies and 11 branch offices. thanks to the constant commitment for innovation, marchesini is nowadays protagonist in the italian and international markets 87 of its turnover is generated by exports. despite the strong international vocation, strong point and distinctive feature of the marchesini group is that it bases the production entirely in italy, to guarantee the high quality of the product and to enhance its relationship with the localised economy.for info www.marchesini.com
