cosmetic packaging components provider world wide packaging wwp has opened a new tube manufacturing facility in suzhou, china which is whollyowned by wwp usa.designed for lean batch manufacturing, the new 100,000ft&sup2 facility has been equipped with germanengineered machinery and robotics.the facility is said to provide smallvolume, highsku production and largeoutput production along with quick turnaround for preproduction samples and color matching in extrusion as well as injection.according to the company, the injection molding department of the facility will manufacture various stock tubes, closures and closures.the facility has advanced planning system aps, which facilitates scheduling that is based on machinery availability.the production of complex tube designs and sleeve construction is possible owing to three highspeed, vacuumforming extruders and one small batch tube. sleeve decoration options such as offset, silk screening and hotstamping combinations are also available.wwp ceo barry freda said &quotthe new plant shows wwp&39s enduring commitment to high quality and exemplary customer service through constant innovation and refined manufacturing processes.&quotthis includes close collaboration with manufacturers regarding design, supply chain requirements and delivery goals.&quotthe staff of wwp works on developing renderings, designs and options in 3d with the use of solid works and then converting the designs to physical models that prove out design.with the use of this technology, manufacturing success can be achieved which can help the staff reduce time from the package design phase.&nbsp
