Just like its sister brand, Love Home and Planet is formulated with cruelty-free vegan ingredients, and the brand has collaborated with renowned fragrance house Givaudan to ensure all scents are derived from sustainably sourced essential oils. Fragrances used echo those in the Love Beauty and Planet line, such as Bulgarian Rose & Murumuru, Vetiver & Tea Tree Oil, and Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower, but have been re-created to bloom and adapt to the needs of home care products.

The extensive range comprises fabric care, dish wash and surface care products. It includes a concentrated laundry detergent made with sustainably sourced plant-based cleansers which are effective even in cold water.

Another disruptive product developed with the environment in mind is a dry wash spray, which helps to minimise over-washing, prolonging the life of clothes and reducing water and energy use. Consider it the dry shampoo for clothes.

The majority of its packaging is made from recycled, recyclable materials, too – caps and pouches are up next. Love Home and Planet is working towards using recycled packaging across the full portfolio by 2021.

In fact every aspect of Love Home and Planet has been designed to offer eco-conscious consumers a choice that shows a little extra love for the planet, delivering uncompromised efficacy with highly sensorial products that stand for a deeper purpose.

To further help offset its impact on the environment, Love Home and Planet is contributing $40 (€35) to a carbon tax fund for every tonne of greenhouse gas emitted during its creation, manufacturing and distribution.

The brand has also partnered with Ashoka, an organisation which identifies and supports the world’s leading social entrepreneurs, to provide funding for environmental changemakers who are working to inspire a cleaner and greener planet.

“Love Home and Planet is a lifestyle brand for the ‘natural’-seeking and indulgent generation,” says Global Brand Director Sonika Malhotra, who was also a core founding member of the Love Beauty and Planet launch team in 2017/18.

“This entire range has been designed to reflect the lifestyles of the ‘shelfie’ generation who want to leave their homes clean, fragrant and beautiful while caring for the planet through their small acts of love. We’re on a journey with a strong start, but this is still just the beginning,” she adds.

Love Home and Planet is available through selected Target stores and on target.com now, and will launch across the US with a wide selection of retailers and eCommerce partners from March.
