tyler packaging continues to improve printing capabilities with new machine a specialist supplier of flexible packaging to a range of industries, including human food, pet food and garden products, tyler packaging has added to its production capacity through the acquisition of a new pouch making machine.the company has invested in a new fd60dllsc totani model which will be installed in 2015, expanding its capacity to produce sq4quad seal bags and large format pouches.the introduction of the latest totani packaging machine follows swiftly on the heels of a previous totani model which was installed at the end of 2013, to increase tyler&39s capacity to produce flat base pouches.the new machine produces flat and gusseted pouches with widths of between 200mm and 590mm and lengths of up to 500mm, facilitating the production of large format bags at high output speeds. it&39s part of totani&39s centre seal series which sees the pouches made by folding the film in the centre from both sides before sealing it. the comparatively large size of the pouches makes them ideal for pet foods and garden foods. a large variety of laminated films can be used, and the machine is capable of printing on the bottom panel, enabling branding on all five sides.the totani servo motor control system is capable of producing high speeds at 240 cycles per minute together with high strength sealing. tyler&39s diverse range of resealable closures such as top sliders, hooded top sliders and various types of zippers including easy lock means that clients interested in utilising the new capabilities afforded by the totani can choose from an array of packaging options.adam kay, sales director at tyler packaging commented that, &quotwe want to offer our clients the most advanced packaging solutions and we&39re continuously looking to improve wherever possible. by developing our processes and technology, we&39re able to expand our product portfolio which means we can cater for a broader range of clients by producing the most advanced flexible packaging currently available in the industry.&quothe concluded, &quotthe totani acquisition is one of several developments planned for the coming months.&quotfor more information on tyler packaging, please phone 44 01926 651451 or email sales@tylerpackaging.co.uk or visit www.tylerpackaging.co.uk
