Serena Williams' Wyn Beauty Debuts Today, in 'Tennis-Ball-Green' Packaging

By PC Correspondent on Thu, 10/31/2024 - 18:47

It's official—tennis champion Serena Williams debuted her makeup line today after hinting that she may be getting into the cosmetics industry, back in 2018 when she was on the cover of Vogue.

Wyn Beauty, a play on the word "win," launched with 10 products in vibrantly colored green packaging, reminiscent of a tennis ball.

The makeup line's name is fitting. Williams is known as the GOAT of tennis, having racked up over 23 Grand Slam wins over her career. She is widely recognized as one of the best tennis players in the world.

Williams is also known for her statement-making looks on the tennis court—leopard-print outfits, beaded braids (back in 1999), and bold nails. She's now a mom of two and left the sport in 2022. (And in case you're wondering, her older sister, Venus Williams, is still playing competitively.)

Wyn Beauty is Vegan, Clean, and Recyclable

Wyn Beauty is committed to using vegan and clean ingredients, while focusing on diversity with 36 shades of foundation ranging from light to deep. "Our products were formulated, tested, and perfected with deeper skin tones as the starting point," the brand states.

The packaging is designed to be fully recyclable, the brand says, but consumers would have to check their local recycling regulations.

'Featuring You' Foundation—in 36 Shades

Wyn Beauty's debut collection "stars" the foundation, Featuring You—Hydrating Skin Enhancing Tint SPF 30. It's in a glass bottle with a pump, wrapped in a bright green silicone sleeve with a matching green cap. The green sleeve has a rounded bottom, and when combined with the cap's curved edges, the bottle resembles a pill shape.

The lightweight formula claims to deliver invisible sun protection and is infused with the brand's "Truly Unstoppable HydraComplex", for 72 hours of hydration.

High-Shine Non-Sticky Lip Color

Another product formulated to outperform the competition is No Words Needed—Lip Serum. It's  lightweight, non-sticky, and claims to hydrate lips for 24 hours while delivering high-shine color. It includes moisturizing wild mango butter, jojoba oil, and shea butter.

The wand applicator has an oval donut-shaped tip with a center hole designed to help apply the product smoothly. It's in a frosted pill-shaped bottle that showcases the product color, with a green cap.

More About Wyn Beauty's Product Lineup

The other products in Wyn Beauty's lineup include:

  • Nothing To See—Soft Matte Creamy Concealer
  • MVP: Most Versatile Pigment—Multifunction Lip and Cheek Color
  • Word of Mouth—Max Comfort Matte Lipstick
  • Say Everything—Max Intensity Featherweight Lipstick
  • Glideline—Longwear Eye Pencil
  • Glideline—Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
  • Taking Shape—Brow Shaping Pencil
  • Big Vision—Lengthening & Defining Tubing Mascara

Wyn Beauty sells online on its website and at select Ulta Beauty stores, following Ulta Beauty's Conscious Beauty guidelines for clean ingredients and sustainable packaging.

Giving Back

Wyn Beauty states, "After a life-threatening experience during the birth of her daughter, Serena Williams became an outspoken advocate for maternal health and well-being."

Wyn Beauty supports organizations that provide necessary maternal care services to mothers and their communities.
