public members have mentioned that, when it comes to waste reduction, hard plastic and black plastic packaging are the two samples of the most &lsquopoorly designed&rsquo products. in a market research conducted by the people&rsquos design lab pdl, more than 1000 members of the public and waste experts cast their votes with the objective of categorizing the &lsquonastiest items left when you are done everything to reduce and recycle your waste&rsquo. plastic packaging was followed by the inkjet printers as the third most &lsquoshoddily designed&rsquo product which needs a redesign. the news follows the declaration of the &lsquochampions&rsquo of the people&rsquos design lab awards in the month of july this year, in which the similar products came out on the top. now, pdl are calling for organizations and designers to measure how they can redesign packaging and products for the &lsquomost efficient&rsquo ecological end of life product, and say they are geared up to contribute to the contest &lsquothrough academic research and discussion&rsquo. tying together &lsquocollective intelligence&rsquo pdl, which is an online platform intended for harnessing the &lsquocollaborative intelligence&rsquo of societies to design out waste, was introduced on 25 april in london. the lab is run by cwm harry and partners members of environmental services provider. in presteigne and norton, the lab was first founded up as &lsquothe museum of bad design&rsquo origin to a welsh zero waste governmentfunded project, after people raised voice over their frustration at repeatedly throwing out the same materials. while commenting on the platform, recycling expert and project manager, emma hallett, mentioned &ldquothe people&rsquos design lab was started up to look out the things people most require to look at redesigning due to the reason that there is nothing which can be done with them as their product life is expired. so a lot of people are reducing and recycling and doing their bit, however, there is nothing they can do with this stuff once they are done with them. they just results in a problems and increasing waste. httpwww.resource.uk.comarticleukplasticpackagingmoste28098badlydesignede280…
