amcor rigid plastics has extended the use of its exclusive rollon pilferproof ropp finish design. the expansion has been done for aluminium screwcap pet bottles to fulfil the increasing demands for best packaging for the spirits and wine sectors. in the wine market, amcor is already powerfully positioned with screwcap containers made up of aluminium. furthermore, it has now expanded its ropp offering to the category of spirits with newly introduced 1.75l and 750ml stock pet bottles. these bottles offer light weight and smooth conversion from glass. amcor rigid plastics, which is the leading producer of rigid plastic packaging in the world, worked closely with amcor flexibles capsules group, its sister company, to make sure that the standard of the industry of aluminium closure utilized for glass spirits bottles could be shifted to pet bottles, as per the information given by lynne brophy, the director of spirits and wine business. lynne further mentioned that they were capable of tapping their breadth of technical expertise and experience in closures and pet bottles in the market of wines to develop a premium, highvalue alternative for spirits makers. they are expecting that expansion in offering will motivate more topnotch spirits brands to think of pet as an alternative for glass. the ropp finish design, which is available in 36mm by 52mm finish 1.75l and 30mm by 60mm finish 750ml, offers a smooth conversion to pet from glass with nominal changes on the glass filling line. the feasibility to use the similar aluminium closure for glass on pet bottles is the most important benefit, providing brand owners a same filling experience at minimized cost and changeover. along with these, brand owners will be able to imitate the finest look of glass and get highquality aesthetics. the ropp finish containers are meant to bear up the top load needed for cap applications made up of aluminium. the pet bottles fulfil all necessary testing to make sure a secure seal with the aluminium closure. many decorating options including embossing and custom printing are available to increase the aesthetics of the aluminium closure. for spirits, aluminium screwcap pet bottles are lightweight, shatter resistant, and convenient. ropp finish bottle design by amcor also allows the removal of a neck support ring resulting in enhancing aesthetics. for the stock bottle of 1.75l, a regular plastic pour restrictor &ndash which is typically used for glass bottles &ndash is included inside the bottle neck to avert spillage. furthermore, for spirits makers, the shift to pet also offers key sustainability advantages. pet containers are unbreakable, easy to transport, and light weight. lightweight packaging offers more cases per truckpallet for less shipments, reduced carbon emissions, and lower transportation costs. these two innovative stock bottles will be included into amcor&rsquos delite&trade brand, at present a comprehensive line of pet bottles with aluminium screwcap closures for the industry of wines. source of information httpwww.amcor.comaboutusmediacentrenews186041742.html
