McDonald’s customers in disbelief over ‘new’ large fries packaging

By PC Correspondent on Tue, 09/24/2024 - 09:21

Some McDonald’s customers have voiced their complaints over the size of the large fries.

The fast food chain recently faced criticism from customers after one posted a photo of the large fries they received. The user CrewCamel posted a photo of their order, which was a $14 Big Mac meal.

Though the package said “Large Fries,” the bag they came in looked more like a small. Large Fries normally come in a red cardboard carton.

He said he ordered it in the San Francisco Bay Area, but it’s unclear if it was an isolated incident.

In the comments, users couldn’t believe the restaurant changed the package. One Reddit user said the company was testing using paper pouches for medium and large sizes about two years ago. It’s usually just the small fry that comes in the paper bag.

Others said $14 is too much to spend on a meal at McDonald’s anyway.

One user wrote: “I love how they put "Large Fries" on the baggie like they're gonna convince you.”

Some said McDonald’s portion sizes are too large in the US anyway. But US customers were quick to reply, saying they don’t want to pay more for less.

“While I agree that we could use a reduction in sizes, the price should reflect that. Paying $14 for the meal [original poster] posted is insane.”
