Thimm Packaging Systems has designed the packaging and transport of sensitive medical technology devices more comfortable. The increased use of corrugated cardboard reduces the weight of the new packaging by 20 kg, lowers freight costs and protects the environment. The innovative new packaging is now almost entirely of corrugated cardboard and minimized environmental impact. Only a wooden ramp serves as a drive-on and allows packing and unpacking of technical systems by a single employee. Polyethylene protection pads (PE) provide the necessary separation between the equipment and corrugated cardboard. Additional space for various probe case create fluted corrugated cardboard blanks. To date, up to 160 kilograms ultrasound devices were shipped in large wooden boxes containing 14 PE cushion to protect the goods.
