flexible packaging division of clondalkin business unit engineered films has invested another multimillion euro in two new highspeed comexi f2 printing presses. the investment has been done for its manufacturing locations at wentus in h&oumlxter, germany and at flexoplast in harlingen, the netherlands. the presses facilitate the two businesses to provide enhanced capacity, as well as greater production flexibility and efficiency to their current bluechip customer base. this will also allow additional customers to gain benefit of the supreme quality printed film laminates range of product manufactured by wentus and flexoplast. these money investments included a comexi 8 color press, comexi f1 10 color press as well as reifenh&aumluser 5layer barrier extruder at flexoplast. at wentus, the company invested in a comexi f1 8 color press, langlaser slitter, reifenh&aumluser 5layer barrier cast film line, and duplex norrdmechanica lamination machine. jeroen van der meer, who is the managing director at engineered films, mentioned that the comexi f2 flexographic printing presses are hightech machines offering printing that is of high definition achieves tremendous vibrant images and color quality to enhance their customers&39 brands as well as product shelf space presence. these advancements are really important for their customers as packaging presentation and convenience quality is main differentiators as clients purchasing habit is extremely inclined by the feel and look and efficiency of the packaging. the development in capacity of production will enable additional expansion in key market sectors including fresh food and prepackers, non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages and frozen food. mr. van der meer further mentions that the sustainability concern is one of the key drivers of their company&rsquos policy regarding corporate social responsibility and the recent presses are outfitted with uptodate technologies to minimize energy consumption and to lessen printing and setup waste. for its printing operations, engineered films has created the best in class process controls to maximize reproduction, output and quality. the printing presses are completely equipped with comprehensive automatic registration, line scan video control, and enhanced color controls hence, improving the processes to new scale industry standards. clondalkin group company&rsquos wentus and flexoplast specialize in printing and laminating, cast and blown extrusion, and manufacture up to seven layer laminates printed in maximum eight colors as well as in numerous finishes. httpwww.packagingeurope.compackagingeuropenews55055clondalkingroupinvestsin…
