according to mike hinkley, who is founder of green flash, silva stout is named for their brewmaster, chuck silva. it is a tribute to chuck and their whole brewing team. mike further said that their dedication and hard work has made green flash one of the leader specialty ale breweries in the nation. chuck silva, while making a statement said that silva stout took lots of patience. for seventeen months, the double stout was aged in oak bourbon barrels. its flavours are very complex. it begins with dark chocolate truffles rolled in powder of cocoa. next is the wood notes and vanilla, with rich cherrylike fruitiness. after filtering and racking the ale, they mixed in just the correct quantity of freshly brewed double stout to offer the ideal balance of freshness and bourbon barrel aging. customers can enjoy the zenith of years of flavour development. silva stout is an exclusive, limited release and presently available only in four packs at the brewery in the tasting room&rsquos public hours. at green flash, the beer also marks a move in packaging. all 12 ounce bottles of green flash ales will be in the innovative custom green flash bottle, and rather than six packs, in four pack cartons. the new green flash bottle is designed with the intention to hold higher pressures. earlier, certain green flash ales that are refermented in the bottles have been only offered in big bottles that are capable of holding the higher pressure. jim kenny, who is the sales director at green flash, mentioned that the new green flash bottle and the move from four packs to six packs will offer their clients more options. their customers like to purchase a variety of craft beers and wider selection of ales and the smaller package size available in 12 ounce bottles accommodates their likes. source of information httpwww.greenflashbrew.comnewsflash.phpcontent31
