convenience, safety and quality are core features of the gerresheimer products exhibited on stands 311 and 312 at the aaps national biotechnology conference that were held in san diego. this conference will take place at the sheraton hotel during may 20 to 22. gerresheimer specializes in unfailing primary packaging for pharmaceuticals products that is made up of materials ideal for the field of application of products, right from the traditional materials like glass to break proof substitutes such as plastic. gerresheimer offers the ideal packaging solutions from both worlds for products starting from standardize container to advanced system. gerresheimer is well known for its prefillable rtf&reg syringes made up from tubular glass. prefillable syringes are available as in readytofill format and bulk products, which means that they are supplying siliconized, washed, sterilized and preassembled. the multishell&reg vials and the plastic clearjecttm syringes are two specific products that gerresheimer produces in cop cyclic olefin polymer. cop is highly break proof and shock resistant material. it is also tremendously transparent, with light permeability of more than 90 percent plus very low oxygen and water vapour permeability. heavy metalfree cop works as an ideal primary packaging for sensitive medicines for ophthalmology, oncology and other fields of remedies. the stability of the extremely sensitive medications also improves due to the cop contact surface. it also lessens interactions between the packaging and medication to the minimum. in 2011, gerresheimer got the german packaging award for creating the multishell&reg plastic vials. the american association of pharmaceutical scientists which is commonly known as aaps is a scientific, professional association of around 11,000 associates employed in the industry, government, academia and other research institutes throughout the world. started in 1986, aaps offers a dynamic international forum for the exchange of knowledge amongst researchers to augment their contributions to public health. source of information httpwww.europeanpharmaceuticalreview.com18683newsfeaturednewsaaps2013gerres…
