Frugalpac, a leader in sustainable packaging, unveiled its global 'Frugal Bottle Fill Good Collective' at Vin Expo Paris, supporting drinks brands in cutting bottle carbon emissions by 84%. The collective now includes 15 fillers across 12 countries, offering co-packing services for the revolutionary paper Frugal Bottle.

Since its 2020 launch, the Frugal Bottle, made from 94% recycled paperboard and a food-grade pouch, has been adopted by 51 producers for 63 brands and 127 SKUs, with availability in major retailers like Aldi, Sainsbury’s, Whole Foods, and soon Target and 7-Eleven in the US.

Frugalpac’s global filler network spans the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, Australia, and Japan, allowing brands to trial or scale their use of the lightweight, low-carbon bottle. The company is also advancing sustainability with local Frugal Bottle Assembly Machines (FBAM-1), producing 2.5 million paper bottles annually while cutting emissions through localized production.

In a significant move for South Asia, Frugalpac has partnered with ITC Limited’s Packaging & Printing Business to bring paper bottles to India, promoting sustainability and creating a local production hub.

“We aim to reduce the carbon footprint of our Frugal Bottle even further by making production and filling as close as possible to our markets,” said Paula Kendall, Frugalpac’s Commercial Manager.

With growing global demand and a clear environmental advantage over glass, Frugalpac’s innovative approach is shaping the future of sustainable drinks packaging.
