 a worldwide food packaging manufacturer has selected a 77,000squarefoot plant in elk grove village as their u.s. headquarters. emsur, which has been in the food packaging industry for about 75 years, will house its u.s. corporate offices, research and development departments, and production at a facility at 2800 carl blvd. the company operates flagship flexible packaging plants in five countries, and conducts business in 40 countries, according to a news release. the company is headquartered in madrid. emsur officials said they chose the location due to its proximity to o&39hare international airport.
