cocacola thailand builds new hotfill bottling line

thailand cocacolathailand plans to invest us 40.62 million bht1.25 billion in a new bottling line at its plant and on a new series of marketing campaigns for minute maid products in preparation for the future expansion of the product portfolio.the construction of the us 19.5 million bht600 million nitrohotfill bottling line is expected to commence this year and will double current production capacity to 1,200 bottles per minute from 600 bottles per minute, according to charnvit chanrindhorn, senior vice president for new categories and new business development at thainnamthip &ndash the local bottling partner of cocacola thailand.this new bottling line will initially be used for bottling minute maid pulpy and nutriboost &ndash a new juicemilk drink launched recently in thailand, the fourth asian country to sell the product after japan, china and vietnam.this year, cocacolathailandis aiming for a 20 increase in revenue. to meet its revenue target coke has budgeted us 4.88 million bht150 million to locally promote the new nutriboost drink&ndash expected to generate us 32 million bht1 billion in revenue in the next two years.according to charnvit, the company enjoyed a 20 growth in income from minute splash and minute maid pulpy amounting to us 65 million bht2 billion in 2011.contributed by stuart hoggardeditor&acutes note overall, company sales grew 3, despite massive floods that flooded several provinces, including bangkok, late last year. noncarbonated drinks account for 2530 of cocacola thailand&rsquos sales, with the remainder coming from carbonated beverages such as coke, fanta and sprite.&nbsp
