Bofill is a fifth-generation packaging specialist and founding partner of Vemsa Packaging Solutions 1857, SL founded in 2019 as a supplier of packaging goods and services to large companies around the world. With a long history in the food and beverage industry, it has the same expertise and traditions as its parent company, the Vemsa Group founded in 1857. It's more than 150 years in the packaging and food business and its extensive international portfolio give it the experience and knowledge necessary to advise and offer valuable solutions in the sector.

After holding various positions in the international divisions of Vemsa 1857 Packaging Solutions, SL, Bofill has taken on the independent task of marketing and consulting to offer a broader vision to partners. In turn, he will work to put CCT in touch with partners in Spain and Latin America to offer EEASY Lid to new customers.

The EEASY lid is currently used on products in more than 250 Wegmans, Stop & Shop, Price Chopper and Tops Friendly Markets stores, as well as specialty stores in the northeastern United States. The EEASY lid is also being used on products in EDEKA Kempken stores in Krefeld, Germany.

“I always say the same thing - no one should have to face what should be a simple task, opening jars of food products,” says Brandon Bach , president of the CCT. “EEASY Lid has a strong presence in stores in the US and Europe, and now more than ever, we feel we are ready for our commercial expansion in Spain and Latin America. With his decades of experience in the sector and his extensive knowledge of the packaging landscape in this market, there is no one better suited for this task than Ur.”

Traditional jarred products found on store shelves require over 4.5 Nm of torque to open and even over 5.7 Nm in some cases. With the EEASY cap, an average of only 1.02 Nm of tightening torque is required to open a jar.

CCT produces the 2.5 inch (63 mm) handle EEASY cap in its 1,486 square foot, state-of-the-art technology center located at the company’s headquarters in Dayton, Ohio. CCT has the capacity to produce approximately 800 aluminum EEASY caps per minute, or more than 250 million per year.
