plastic packaging specialist, faerch plast, was founded in 1969 and has grown in the northern hemisphere to become europe&rsquos leading producer of packaging for ready meals. its head office is in denmark and it has three factories, in denmark, england and the czech republic, as well as sales offices in the uk and france.faerch plast won four major awards in 2014a snack d&rsquoor trophy at the sandwich &amp snack show in paris, for its cpet pizza traya commended in the 2014 starpack award&rsquos food &amp drink primary packaging category for its dual colour cpet traysa scanstar award for mapet iia worldstar in the food category also for mapet ii.now, it is expanding internationally and building a network of overseas distributors for it intended expansion in australia, new zealand, usa, canada, south africa the middle east &amp israel.at the spearhead of its expansion is faerch plast&rsquos core range of dual ovenable cpet crystalline polyethylene terephthalate containers for frozen and chilled convenience meals.these offer a wide temperature tolerance from 40&degf degrees 40&degc to 428&degf degrees 220&degc, for freezertooven or microwave convenience and cpet eliminates negative effects on food flavour and aroma. the range is available in many styles and colours including dual colour packs for enhanced onshelf appeal and product differentiation and frost trays for standout and shatter resistance at low temperatures.the dual colour cpet trays feature one colour on the outside surface and another on the inside, offering food retailers and manufacturers a major point of difference. these packs are targeted at high end convenience food products and their quality appearance makes them the ideal solution for oven to table ready meals. their introduction to major british retailers has been very successful, achieving sales increases of 15.mapet 11 containersfaerch plast will also introduce containers produced from its mapet ii mono material into its new markets. these provide robust top sealing of fresh meat, poultry and fish. they offer the same properties as multilayer materials but are more costeffective, secure and environmentally friendly than nonrecyclable laminates. these are produced from a single substrate using postconsumer recycled plastic rpet, and may be sorted and recycled where the right waste infrastructure is in place. there is a wide range of colours available and transparent versions offer superior clarity due to the absence of a hazy pe layer, so consumers can assess the quality and integrity of the food item prior to purchase.&nbsp
