Berry Global, a leading packaging solutions provider, has introduced a groundbreaking range of clarified polypropylene (PP) bottles designed specifically for healthcare applications. These innovative ClariPPil™ bottles are setting new standards for sustainability and product protection, offering a superior alternative to traditional colored PET pill bottles.

Ideal for a wide variety of products, including vitamins, nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, beauty supplements, and OTC treatments, the ClariPPil™ bottle has achieved RecyClass A certification for recyclability, when paired with Berry’s PP closures. This ensures that in countries with the necessary recycling infrastructure, these bottles contribute to a more circular economy.

Jessica Rodriguez, Sustainability Project Manager at Berry Global, emphasized the impact of this innovation: “We believe our ClariPPil bottle provides an advanced packaging solution that will transform healthcare packaging. With its superior sustainability profile, the bottle also delivers exceptional performance and quality.”

One of the key features of the ClariPPil™ bottle is its availability in various colors, including green, light, and dark amber, to suit different product needs. While colored PET packaging often presents challenges for recycling, the ClariPPil™ bottles are widely recyclable, further reinforcing their eco-friendly credentials. Moreover, Berry’s innovative manufacturing process for these bottles reduces carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions by approximately 71% compared to the traditional injection stretch blow molding process for PET bottles.

The innovation doesn't stop with sustainability. The ClariPPil™ bottles deliver up to 84% better moisture ingress protection than PET alternatives, ensuring longer-lasting product integrity and effectiveness. Available in 100, 120, and 150cc sizes, these bottles feature a universal 38mm neck compatible with various closures, including child-resistant options. The design also provides a wide decoration area for customized branding.

Ryan Maszton, Director of Sales at Berry Global, highlighted the market potential: “ClariPPil bottles meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging solutions without compromising functionality, aesthetics, or barrier performance. Our high-capacity production facilities allow us to support companies in bringing products to market quickly, maximizing opportunities in sectors like vitamins, minerals, and supplements.”

Berry Global’s ClariPPil™ bottles are a testament to how innovation can drive both environmental progress and enhanced product performance in healthcare packaging.
