The European pet food market has grown significantly in recent years, driven by a consistent rise in pet ownership. This trend increased during the COVID-19 pandemic and is expected to continue for many years to come.

The Flap’it! solution automatically adapts to the height of the item and secures the product in place with inner-flaps and integrated cushioning bumpers at the corners. This ensures that products are protected during shipment, significantly reducing costs, damage and product returns. The system is run by a single operator and can easily be moved around the facility; additionally, it includes a number of safety features and has a small physical footprint. Flap’it! can pack up to 540 packages per hour, nine packages per minute – five times faster than manual packing.

The equipment will easily calculate the amount of vertical compressive force a cardboard box can take before deforming or collapsing. The best part of the testing machine is, it is designed keeping in mind the international standards like ASTM D642 and ASTM D4169. Moreover, it comes with advanced features that will help you make the analysis precise and easier to conduct.

This result reflects the continuous efforts made by the European corrugated industry and its paper suppliers to reduce their impact on the environment. The data for production of paper & board and conversion into corrugated boxes was sourced from the 2021 European Database for Corrugated Board Life Cycle Studies, organised by FEFCO (European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers) and CCB (Cepi ContainerBoard).

A film specially innovated to address the issue of slippage of layers over each other, it has a seal strength of more than 1,800 gf/inch with a seal initiation temperature of 950C. It helps in achieving uniform sealing area of
the final pouches as it helps in preventing the issue of inter-layer slippage.

Film-to-film coefficient of friction range is more than 0.4 while film-to-metal
coefficient of friction range lies between 0.3 to 0.4.
