In order to reduce its environmental footprint, the collection has incorporated a new format with a mechanism that allows easy removal and insertion of a new refill.

The innovation is a snap-on ring that allows brands and fillers to insert the removable inner component in the pack after filling through a safe and convenient system that protects the formula. The inner part can be easily disassembled through a thread system. In order to boost recyclability, Regula Airless Refill has a free-metal pump.

The Union ministry of environment, forest and climate change (MoEFCC) has notified guidelines on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for plastic packaging, with an aim to eliminate single-use plastics and promote alternatives.

The latest guidelines will come into force with immediate effect, the notification said.

“The guidelines not only provide a framework to strengthen the circular economy of plastic packaging waste, but also promote development of new alternatives to plastics. They provide a roadmap for businesses to move towards sustainable plastic packaging,”
