Cottage Delight sells hand-made food products such as jams and chutneys in 36 countries worldwide.

Beatson Clark has worked with the company for over two decades and supported its major packaging rebrand in 2018 by creating three new bespoke glass containers.

Now Cottage Delight has removed the mop cap and elastic band from its jars and replaced them with aluminium lids.

Beatson Clark has redesigned the bespoke 302ml jar – the main jar in the range – to have a deep twist-off neck finish, giving it a modern look and providing a larger area on the cap for printing.

DS Smith has partnered with sushi company Eat Happy to develop a recyclable alternative for its disposable plastic sushi trays. The new packaging’s tray and lid are reportedly made from natural and renewable raw materials using corrugated cardboard. 

ropicana has introduced "Tropcn," a new limited-edition packaging that excludes the letters "AI" from their name, aiming to celebrate the natural ingredients of the leading orange juice brand. This initiative emphasizes the absence of anything artificial in Tropicana Pure Premium orange juice, a product that has always been crafted solely from natural oranges. For over 75 years, Tropicana's orange juice has been made from oranges picked at the peak of ripeness and squeezed within 24 hours to ensure 100% juice quality.

New research is shedding light on food and beverage products linked to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, and suggesting potential solutions for protecting the public.

Eat Happy is one of the first suppliers of freshly rolled sushi to go in Germany to introduce paper packaging with a viewing window made from plant cellulose. The new packaging is 100 percent recyclable in waste paper. The switch to a fully recyclable packaging solution in Eat Happy stores and chests will take place across Germany for the entire sushi range by October 2023.

The kp FlexiVac incorporates Dow’s Fusabond technology. The result is a high tensile strength suitable for bone-in cuts of fresh meat and poultry combined with its hermetical seal. The product has been certified as 100% recyclable as PE by cyclos–HTP and certified by Interseroh.

ProActive Recyclable FibreSculpt is suitable for various products, including chilled cooked meats, cold cuts, sliced cheese and fish.

According to the company, FibreSculpt offers a wide range of sustainability benefits. It is lightweight, reducing packaging compared to alternatives like thermoformed materials. Engineered to maintain thermoforming line speed, it increases yield per roll, enhancing transportation efficiency and reducing changeover times on the filling line.

API Group and its subsidiary, Accredo Packaging, known for manufacturing sustainable packaging solutions in the food and consumer products sectors, have partnered with the Fresh-Lock team at Presto Products, a division of Reynolds Consumer Products. Together, they have unveiled a groundbreaking flexible stand-up pouch, utilizing over 50% Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) content suitable for food packaging across the entire package.
