Amcor Rigid Packaging (ARP) and Ron Rubin Winery have commercialized a 100% recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) wine bottle. The companies worked together to develop the screw-top bottle, which features a silicon oxide (SiO_x) barrier coating.

The winery recently launched its new line of Blue Bin wines, which includes 2022-vintage Vin Rosé, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc, in the 750-mL rPET bottle.

As per consumer feedback, the new transparent sleeves are expected to enhance product visibility on store shelves and act as a driving force for potential customers to make a purchase. These improved sleeves will be incorporated across all Lucozade Energy Orange and Lucozade Energy Original bottles in 380ml, 500ml, and 900ml sizes, both for individual sales and multipacks. Furthermore, the other Lucozade Energy flavors are also slated to adopt the new packaging design in the coming time.

Hilex®, a Novolex® brand, announced today new options for its popular ProWAVE® Tote, a recyclable, reusable tote bag that simplifies deliveries and carry-out for supermarkets, restaurants, retailers and their customers.

Customers can now choose a ProWAVE Tote that features a 2.25-mil gauge film that’s manufactured with a minimum of 40% post-consumer recycled material — attributes that allow the totes to meet most legislative requirements for reusable bags, including those in California. Customers also can now opt for a ProWAVE Tote made with 1.7-mil gauge film.

The brand’s thick-cut patties, formulated with whole beans, vegetables and spices, are typically packed in two-count trays and merchandised alongside fresh meat in hundreds of retail outlets across the country, including Kroger, Wegmans, and The Fresh Market. Additionally, its offerings are available to order online through platforms such as Hungryroot, ButcherBox, Purple Carrot and Imperfect Foods and Misfits Market.

Morrisons has become the first UK supermarket to introduce recycling points for coffee machine pods. The move which is being trialled in 29 stores is in partnership with Podback, the pod recycling service. 

In an effort to make coffee pod recycling even easier and convenient, Morrisons is trialling a new drop-off service that allows customers to collect their Podback recycling bags, fill with their used pods, and recycle in a dedicated bin located at the front of the store.
