What Does Packaging Mean To You?

Its quite interesting that packaging means different to different people. Like some would say its protection to products and that is its function, and after that they are not concerned. Some would say it the means of carrying the product and some would say both. I say packaging means to me what beauty means to women. Many people wear sunglasses whenever they go out to protect their eyes from sun, dust and pollution. Its not only a style statement. When people want to look fresh and beautiful, they need to take care of themselves and need to exercise regularly. Same is the case with packaging, we need to constantly watch packaging and take actions. We can not just design a package once and forget about it.

Packaging means an outer cover designed to protect a product- such as to prevent its direct contact with the environment, radiations and so on . A most important requirement of packaging is to enhance the appearance, beauty and public appeal. This applies to any product - manufactured or otherwise. The packaging of the human body is a multi billion dollar industry. Depending on the situations, some contents require heavy packaging wheras some other situations call for extremely light packaging to enhance the beauty and visibility of the contents. In any case Packaging is a must and is a very demanting field.with extensive applications.
